Collection Comments

It is recommended that the patient fast for 12 hrs prior to collection. Invert tube 8-10 times to mix blood with anticoagulant. Process within 2 hrs of collection. Spin for 10 minutes at 1100-1300 g in a swing bucket unit or 15 minutes in a fixed angle.Ship spun Lt Green or Gold tube. Remember to properly label tube with patient name, DOB, test and collect date
