Mixed respiratory flora evident.

Notes

Smear results are reported as soon as possible, noting number of epithelial cells, white blood cells, and quantity and morphotypes of organisms seen. The specimen is rejcted if:
>10 EPI/LPF and <5 PMN per 1 EPI/Oil field and no predominating organism. Rejected specimens are called to the licensed care giver.

Definitive organism identification and/or sensitivity may be performed at additional charge, if deemed significant.
