Whole blood or bone marrow in a lavender top (EDTA) Vacutainer, or purified cell populations from those tissues.  Yellow top (ACD) Vacutainers are also acceptable

Storage/Transport Temperature

5 mL whole blood or 3 mL bone marrow at 2 - 8°C. (Min 1 mL)

Remarks

Analysis of a donor specimen and a pre-transplant recipient specimen is required to select informative markers prior to post-transplant Chimerism Analysis

Stability (from collection to initiation)

Ambient: 72 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: Unacceptable
*Note: Anonymous donor samples are not declined due to transport time.  All anonymous donor samples will be processed, and quality checks will be conducted to ensure standards are met.
