Collect

Eye or Corneal Scrapings:
  • E-Swab Transport System (Liquid Amies, White Cap)

Vitreous / Aqueous Fluid:
  • Sterile Leak Proof Container
  • Syringe, Sterile
    Note:  Needles should be removed and the syringe capped prior to submission of the syringe to the lab. Do NOT submit a syringe with the needles still attached. 
Alternate:
  • E-Swab Minitip Transport System (Liquid Amies, Green Cap)
  • Direct innoculation by clinician onto media.  Consult with Laboratory for appropriate media types.
