Target amplification nucleic acid probe test that utilizes target capture for the in vitro qualitative detection and differentiation of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and/or Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC) to aid in the diagnosis of chlamydial and/or gonococcal disease.
Patient Preparation
Urine collection: The patient should not have urinated for one hour prior to specimen collection. Female patients should NOT clean the labial area prior to providing the specimen. Collect the FIRST 15-20 ml of urine into a sterile container.

- Swab tubes with no media remaining in the tube.
- Overfilled/Underfilled urine Aptimas.

- Any source not listed as an acceptable source.
