Place specimen on ice after collection and deliver to lab immediately

Minimum Collection Volume

0.5 mL blood or 200 μL serum

Stability (from collection to initiation)

Freeze as soon as possible.  Unacceptable after 2 hrs ambient.

Specimen Preparation

After collection place on ice.  Separate serum from cells ASAP within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 ml to aliquot tube.

Storage/Transport Temperature

Store serum sample at -70 °C. Transport on dry ice.
