All routine coagulation testing (PT/INR, PTT, FIB, D-Dimer, Xa-Lovenox, Xa-Unfractionated, DTIBI, ATIII) may be collected in the same tube.
One FULL 1.8 mL OR 2.7 mL tube.
Note: For all coagulation testing, ensure tubes are sufficiently filled. Refer to the guide below.
If the patient's Hematocrit is >55%, call the Coagulation lab at 41778 and ask for a light blue top tube with an adjusted amount of 3.2% trisodium citrate anticoagulant.
