Collect: 1.0 mL EDTA whole blood (lavender top) tube,1.0 mL Bone Marrow, 5.0 mL CSF, 5.0 mL Body Fluid 2x2mm Fresh tissue, Fine Needle Aspiration or Fine Needle Core Biopsy.
Park Nicollet, Hutchinson, Olivia: For all Park Nicollet, Hutchinson and Olivia flow cytometry orders on peripheral blood, the CBC for flow tracking test will reflex when in the collect screen in Beaker, so two EDTA tubes should be collected. 2 labels will print – one for flow cytometry, the other for CBC for Flow. If at a clinic site, the flow cytometry tube gets packed on the Methodist heme path only list. The CBC for flow gets packed on the Methodist refrigerated list. SPA receives tubes, and gives the CBC for flow to hematology and the flow tube to sendouts to send to Regions. Methodist hematology runs the tube manually with a CBC with diff, plt f, and retic, and makes 2 slides. The CBC printout and slides remain at Methodist to be given to PN pathologist interpreting the flow case and the flow EDTA tube gets sent to Regions.

Diagnosis and clinical management of acute and chronic lymphoid and non-lymphoid leukemias. Monitor response to treatment and recurrent disease relapses. Identifies various types and subtypes of malignant lymphomas, such as B-cell, T-cell, and true histiocytic. Differentiates lymphomas from other cancers and non-malignant processes.
